Valtteri Bottas crowned a nearly perfect weekend in Australia setting the fastest lap of the race, although he and Lewis Hamilton advised not to push for it before the race while almost all drivers were on the one stop strategy.

Raikkonen first entered the pits in the lap 12 to put new medium tyres and one lap latter he was followed by Hulkenberg in Renault who got a set of new hard tyres.

A lap later Vettel entered the pits, followed by Hamilton who had to cover him and duo will later have tyre problems near the end of the race thanks to a very long second stint.

Hamilton was therefore under pressure from Verstappen and Vettel from Leclerc after he had already been passed by Verstappen who had 11 laps fresher tyres.

FASTEST LAPS

Bottas, Hamilton and Verstappen set their best race laps in lap 57, which was the penultimate lap of the race, and Bottas was almost half a second clear from Hamilton thanks to 10 laps fresher rubber.

It was the 11th fastest lap for Bottas in his F1 career.
