Renault drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenberg set the two highest speeds at three of the four speed measurements at the fast Silverstone circuit while Lewis Hamilton was the fastest before the Hangar straight.
Ricciardo was the fastest at the end of the Hangar straight with 337.0 km/h (Hulkenberg only 0.3 km/h slower in second place), the fastest at the start finish line with 260.2 km/h (Hulkenberg 0.6 km/h slower in second place) and fastest at the end of the first DRS zone, before Turn 6 (Brooklands) with 325.8 km/h (Hulkenberg 3.1 km/h slower in second place).
Hamilton was the fastest before the Hangar straight at 276.2 km/h thanks to the best exit from fast sequence of corners although at the end of the straight he was only the 13th fastest.
Interestingly, Mercedes drivers were the slowest at the end of the first DRS zone, 14 km/h slower than Ricciardo in Renault.
Leclerc was 3.8 km/h faster than Hamilton at the end of the Hangar line, 1.8 km/h faster than Hamilton on the start finish line and 7 km/h faster than Bottas at the end of the first DRS zone.
