The FIA has decided to add a third DRS zone to the Marina Bay Street Circuit to increase the overtaking possibilities on one of the narrowest and slowest tracks in the F1 calendar.

Singapore had two DRS zones in recent years – the first had a detection point at the exit of the Turn 4 and the activation was 53 meters behind the Turn 5.

The detection point for the second DRS zone is 102 meters before the apex of Turn 13 and the activation is 78 meters after Turn 13.

The third DRS zone covers a short start finish straight and has a detection point of 180 meters before the apex of Turn 22 and activation is 48 meters behind the apex of Turn 23.
