The Alfa Romeo Racing team tested their new 2019 F1 car for the first time at Fiorano and showed the temporary camouflage livery of the car with Kimi Raikkonen behind the wheel.
Alfa Romeo tested their new F1 2019 car, whose name is still unknown, within the filming day for recording promotional materials, where the teams can clock a maximum of 100 km twice a year on special Pirelli tyres.
The new Alfa was tested by Kimi Raikkonen and the livery is only temporary as the car appeared in a camouflage combination of dark red and black that is made up of a multitude of hearts.
The car attracts attention with a unprecedented front wing that has very low upper elements at the edges of the wing leaving room for the airflow to spill to the outside of the front wheels, the effect that rules wanted to ban for 2019.
The nose is very similar to the McLaren MCL33, the sidepod concept is similiar as on last year Sauber, as well as a multiple air intake above the driver’s head.
The new Alfa Romeo Racing F1 car for 2019 will officially be presented on Monday in Barcelona when the pre-season test begin.
