Alpine has unveiled their temporary livery for the new F1 car for 2021 which will be called the A521 after Renault decided last year to rename its F1 team as part of a reorganization of its brands.
Renault showed off a new visual identity on last year’s R.S.20 set in a mountainous, winter setting, and the foundation is black with red, white and blue.
The black color pays homage to the 1975 F1 prototype called the A500, and the team calls the current visual identity a ‘temporary’ and ‘winter’ version.
This year’s true visual identity of Alpine will be shown during the presentation of the new F1 car for 2021, which will bear the name A521 and which will be shown to the public in February.
“Today’s livery is the first evocation of the new identity of the Alpine F1 team,” said Alpine Design Director Antony Villain.
“Some structural graphic elements will remain while some elements will change.”
“The large Alpine emblem in tricolor graphics is the first clear symbol of the identity of this brand in motorsport.”
“Blue, white and red refer to the colors of the French and British flags, which is very important to us. Numerous variations in all motorsport areas are yet to come.”
