The Aston Martin team has confirmed a new multi-year contract with US IT corporation Cognizant which will give them a predominantly green visual identity after having a predominantly pink identity for the past two and a half seasons due to title sponsor BWT.

Cognizant is an American multinational digital corporation that provides digital products, digital IT services, including digital, technology, consulting and operational services and Aston Martin has confirmed a multi-year sponsorship agreement ahead of its return to Formula 1 to strengthen its financial structure and IT expertise.

“The return of Aston Martin to Formula 1 after more than 60 years is an important moment in the history of the sport,” said team owner Lawrence Stroll.

“Everyone knows what Aston Martin represents, but the F1 team will allow us to take the essence of the brand to new places, build the strong foundations we laid with previous iterations of the team.”

Team principal Otmar Szafnauer added that the contract with Cognizant will mean much more for the team than just financial support.

“Innovation and technology are central pillars for any F1 team and this long-term partnership is more than just branding,” Szafnauer said.

“With the new factory under construction, Cognizant’s expertise and resources will add value in all areas of IT operations and add a valuable contribution to our track performance.”

Although BWT will no longer be the team’s title sponsor, it is not ruled out that they will continue to collaborate, but Aston Martin cars will definitely not have a pink color but will be predominantly dark green, which is their traditional racing color.
