Aston Martin has confirmed what was expected – that their test and reserve driver Felipe Drugovich will replace Lance Stroll in pre-season testing after the Canadian was injured on the bike.
In a brief post on his social media channels yesterday, Stroll said he had suffered an ‘unfortunate injury’ while preparing for the start of the season while riding his bike and would therefore not be able to take part in the three-day tests which start on Thursday.
Today, Aston Martin confirmed that Stroll’s replacement at the pre-season test will be Drugovich, the current F2 champion, and that the team expects a ‘quick recovery’ and a return to driving duties for Stroll.
