The A1 Martin F1 team announced that they will present their new F1 car for 2021 on March 3, when we will see for the first time the visual identity of the new team that replaces Racing Point and marks the return of the famous brand to Formula 1 after 1960.
By buying 20% of Aston Martin shares early last year, Stroll secured the conditions for the company’s return to Formula 1, as it already owned Racing Point at the time, and the pink color will be replaced by the traditional British dark green color.
Aston Martin will present its car on March 3 at 16:00 Central European Time via its website and social media channels.
The Silverstone team will continue to use Mercedes power units and transmission and they will also get a 2020 Mercedes rear suspension after using the 2019 suspension last year, without spending any development tokens,
Aston Martin have brought in four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel from Ferrari who will be a new teammate to Lance Stroll while Sergio Perez has moved to Red Bull.
The British team is the eighth in a row to announce the launch date of the new car – only Red Bull and Haas are still yet to announce their plans.
