Darjan Petric, born September 11th 1987., is Master of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology graduated at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, Croatia, whose love for Formula 1 began spontaneously at the age of 13.
It all started with reading the F1 section in car magazines, but as the author discovered more and more about this fascinating sport his interest was getting bigger.
On the eve of the 2001. season author fanatically began to follow this great sport, writing results, drafting tables, drawing cars and making quizzes solved by his friends and teachers.
First race he attended was Hungarian GP in 2002., and by the age of 18 he attended five races. Since F1 is not a sport everyone can try, author turned to driving simulations and became the champion of Croatian F1 Croteam league in 2009. and 2011. and won four driving simulator competitions.
Winning the Philip Morris competitions held in Zagreb in 2009. and 2010. author earned himself an opportunity to experience the magic of Formula 1 paddock and pit lane thanks to VIP tickets for the Ferrari paddock in Budapest and Valencia, and in 2012. he won the Johnny Walker knowledge contest and F1 trip to Monza.
The author has been translating for the Croatian edition of EVO magazine and was also an associate of Croatian editions of EVO magazine and Auto Bild.
Regardless of the opportunities provided by the knowledge and Master of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the author has decided to continue to write his F1 life story and launch his own website about Formula 1. He is sole author of all articles and content on MAXF1 website as he pushes his boundaries every day trying to be better, faster and more efficient.
After more than a year of hard work, more than 2,400 posts and 680 pages the author launched the english version of the website in January 2017. and started a new, exciting chapter of MAXF1 project which has become global.
Besides Formula 1, author has a great passion for tennis and cycling in which he’s regularly engaged for many years.
