Ferrari has fired up its new F1 car for 2021 called SF21 for the first time and they have also announced two separate launch dates, one for the team and the other for the new car.
Team boss Mattia Binotto has spoken to his team before the first fire up of the car and most of them were present via video or audio link to witness this important moment in the new season.
“Our 2021 F1 season starts here,” said Binotto.
“We can expect a lot of challenges, but we are determined to be better.”
“The car has been improved in all areas where improvements are allowed. We need to work in a focused way and be aware of where we are and where we want to go.”
The sound of the new power unit cheered a limited number of people present at the Maranello plant, in line with measures related to the current pandemic.
The presentation of the Ferrari F1 team for 2021 is scheduled for February 26 and the presentation of the new SF21 will be on March 10, two days before the first day of pre-season testing in Bahrain.
