Carlos Sainz will drive for Renault in 2018., but he will get his chance to know his new team as Jolyon Palmer left the team earlier than expected.
Sainz will try to help Renault to overhaul Haas, Toro Rosso and Williams and secure fifth place in the constructors’ championship in the last four race of Formula One World Championship 2017.
Hulkenberg scored all 42 points for Renault so far while Sainz scored 48 from 52 points for Toro Rosso.
Both Renault and Toro Rosso use the same power units – Renault R.E.17.
