Robert Kubica drove the first kilometers in a new Alfa Romeo F1 car on the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya track before the start of pre-season testing in Bahrain, which begins in two weeks.
Alfa Romeo has introduced the new C41 which is an expected evolution of its predecessor, and the biggest visual difference is the new nose and front wing while retaining the same cooling concept and triple intake above the driver’s head.
The team hopes to be more competitive this year if Ferrari finds enough power with a new powertrain that is the main cause of last year’s drop in form and Alfa has kept the same driving lineup and is just one of three teams to have done so, along with Mercedes and Williams.
The Kubica drove a maximum of 100 kilometers in the new C41, as rules allow during the filming day, using special Pirelli demonstration tyres.
