Current world champions Mercedes have released studio photos of the new F1 car for 2021 F1 W12 which has retained a predominantly black color with a silver engine cover and with which they want to win a record eighth championship title.
Mercedes has so far released four studio photos of the new F1 W12 which is expectedly similar to its F1 W11 predecessor with which it shares the same chassis, and the most striking change is related to the new floor which now has to be narrower in the rear wheels.
The nose has remained the same, at least in the first photos, the front wing has the upper two elements painted in the turquoise color of the sponsor Petronas, and the graphics of the driver numbers on the front of the chassis and bonnet are new.
The front of the intake above the driver’s head, which supplies air to the engine and coolers, is red due to sponsors and co-owners of the INEOS team, and the rear of the engine cover is silver with about ten AMG logos.
A live presentation is underway during which Mercedes will present the new F1 W12 live via its social networks.
Mercedes is the fifth team to present the new F1 car for 2021, and today the new car will also be presented by Alpine at 16:00 CET.
