On this day in 1993 Ayrton Senna produced one of his finest laps in his racing career by overtaking four drivers in the wet conditions in Donington Park to take a dominant victory at 1993 European GP.
Bernie Ecclestone introduced the European Grand Prix at Donington Park instead of Asian GP which was cancelled for 1993. It was the third race championship in which the Brazilian Ayrton Senna achieved second win in a row after the Brazilian Grand Prix victory two weeks ago.
Senna started fourth, behind the two Williams drivers Prost and Hill and the young German Michael Schumacher. At the start, Schumacher blocked Senna while Karl Wendlinger overtook them both. Senna quickly overtook Schumacher in third corner, Wendlinger in corner Craner, and Hill in a McLaren corner.
Lap 1 of the 1993 #EuropeanGP. One of the greatest laps of all time? Relive the moment Ayrton Senna became a Donington legend at that rain-soaked race, 25 years ago today. #LegendaryLaps pic.twitter.com/y2TkdmCqjs

Brazilian overtook leading Prost at the penultimate corner Melbourne hairpin. Senna won convincingly, leading 71 of 76 laps ahead of Damon Hill and Alain Prost in Williams.
This Senna’s victory is considered one of his greatest, especially the first round in which he overtook four drivers, three of which are three world champions (Prost was already triple world champion and Schumacher and Hill also became champions in the next three years).
