Sergio Perez used the final day of testing to set the best time for Red Bull after spending the whole day in the new RB19, with Lewis Hamilton finishing second fastest for Mercedes.
Hamilton set the fastest Mercedes time in testing on C5 tyres (1:30.781) before improving his time to 1:30.664, but he was knocked from the top by Perez on C4 tyres and in the final hour Perez further improved his best time (C4) to finish 0.359 seconds ahead of Hamilton.
After yesterday’s best time, Alfa Romeo was again near the top with Bottas in third place who completed 131 laps even though he stopped on the track in the morning due to a gearbox problem, and the Finn finished ahead of both Ferrari drivers.
Tsunoda took sixth for AlphaTauri on C4 tires ahead of Magnussen in the Haas, with Russell finishing eighth thanks to the weather in the morning when track conditions were slower.
Alonso took over the Aston Martin AMR23 from Drugovich in the afternoon – the duo finished ninth and tenth with an impressive 157 laps, and Norris took over the McLaren MCL60 from Piastri in the afternoon to finish 11th with just 37 laps.
Albon separated two Alpine drivers Gasly and Ocon in 13th place for Williams, with Hulkenberg, Piastri and de Vries occupying the last three positions.
The most laps on the last day of the test were driven by the Haas team (172), and the least by McLaren, only 81 laps.
The first race of the season is scheduled for next weekend at the same track.
