Japanese car manufacturer Honda has strengthened its ties with F1 teams Red Bull and AlphaTauri ahead of their first home F1 race since 2019, and their logo will return to F1 cars and remain on them after the Japanese Grand Prix.

Pierre Gasly set  the fastest lap on the first day of pre-season testing in Bahrain and is the only driver to drive a lap under 1:34, with Ferrari drivers taking second and third place.

AlphaTauri is the fifth team to kick start their 2022 F1 campaign as they  released studio photos of the new AT03 car, which we will see live for the first time at the pre-season test in Barcelona.

Pierre Gasly says that in a tense fight with Charles Leclerc in the final of the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan he desperately wanted the podium despite the problem with the loss of power of the power unit and that he was ready to do anything to keep third place.

AlphaTauri’s F1 team boss Franz Tost says Honda is responsible for 70% of the progress of their new car for 2021 in the year the teams were forced to use last year’s chassis.

AlphaTauri debutant Yuki Tsunoda delighted with his first appearance in Formula 1 in which he scored two points and made a number of overtaking, especially the overtaking of Fernando Alonso in Alpine since he was the driver he admired as a boy.

AlphaTauri and Alfa Romeo drove the most laps in pre-season testing in Bahrain while current world champions Mercedes drove the fewest laps of all teams for the first time in the hybrid era.

The AlphaTauri team showed a new nose on the new 2021 F1 car after using the old nose in the presentation and studio photos as they tested the new nose for the first time in Imola where they had a filming day.

The second Red Bull F1 team AlphaTauri presented their new F1 car for 2021 named AT02 which is the last car that will officially use Honda engines and thus became the second team behind McLaren to present the car for the new season.

Red Bull’s second F1 team AlphaTauri will unveil their new 2021 F1 car on February 19, four days after McLaren will unveil their new Mercedes powered MCL35M.
