Jenson Button won for the fourth time in first five races in 2009 after leading his team mate Rubens Barrichello in another dominant display for new Brawn GP team.

On this day in 2009 Jenson Button won the Bahrain GP starting from fourth place, beating two Toyota drivers who locked out the front row for the first time, and cemented his championship lead after first four races of the season.

Jenson Button secured his only F1 championship with fifth place in 2009 Brazilian GP after starting from 14th ahead of the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi.

The German Grand Prix returned to Nürburgring in 2009 where Mark Webber secured his first pole position and first win in Red Bull RB9, although he was awarded a drive through penalty for hitting Barrichello at the start of the race.

Rubens Barrichello won his third and final race in Monza today in front of his team mate Jenson Button in crucial 1-2 for Brawn GP while Raikkonen finished third after Hamilton crashed in final lap while trying to catch Button.
