Reigning constructors' champions Red Bull have confirmed that eight-time F1 winner and former driver Daniel Ricciardo will be their test and reserve driver next year, returning to the team he left at the end of 2018.

Japanese car manufacturer Honda has strengthened its ties with F1 teams Red Bull and AlphaTauri ahead of their first home F1 race since 2019, and their logo will return to F1 cars and remain on them after the Japanese Grand Prix.

The German Grand Prix returned to Nürburgring in 2009 where Mark Webber secured his first pole position and first win in Red Bull RB9, although he was awarded a drive through penalty for hitting Barrichello at the start of the race.

On this day in 2010, Red Bull drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber collided when they were leading Turkish GP and in the end only Webber managed to finish the race in third place behind the two McLarens.

Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko and team boss Christian Horner have confirmed that Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez retired due to fuel supply issue as they engines run out of fuel in the closing stages of the Bahrain GP.

Charles Leclerc secured the pole position for Ferrari on the first weekend of the new F1 season in Bahrain, setting the fastest qualifying time in the last part of qualifying, and the world champion Max Verstappen took the front row spot for Red Bull.

Max Verstappen is pleased with the first day of the first weekend of the new Formula 1 season, which ended with the best time in the second free practice, as he pointed out Ferrari as the biggest threat.

Max Verstappen concluded pre-season testing in Bahrain with the fastest time for Red Bull thanks to a series of fast laps in the last hour as the Dutchman finished seven tenths ahead of Charles Leclerc in Ferrari.

On the first day of pre-season testing in Barcelona, Red Bull showed the public the new RB18 for 2022 for the first time after they earlier showed only new livery on the demonstration car at their season launch.

Red Bull has become the eighth team to announce the launch date of a new F1 car for 2022 which they named  RB18, making them the first team to unveil the new generation car.
