Toro Rosso Formula One Team confirmed that their new 2019 F1 car STR14 will be launched on February 11th, putting them in the position to present the new car before all the other teams that for now have confirmed their launch dates.

Toro Rosso will launch their new STR14, which will also use Honda power units, on Monday, February 11, and unlike the previous years, the junior Red Bull team will use the same power units as the main Red Bull team.

This will allow them to share a lot more technology with their sister team than before, such as gearboxes, rear suspension, hydraulics and other parts that can be bought from other teams, similar to the model used by Haas in conjunction with Ferrari.

Toro Rosso will be able to focus its resources and time to develop other components and Team Leader Franz Tost has already confirmed that Toro Rosso is willing to play the role of ‘guinea pig’ for Honda when it comes to developing and testing new specification of their power unit.

After Toro Rosso on Monday, Renault will launch their 2019 F1 car on Tuesday, Racing Point will present their new visual identity and new car on Wednesday in Toronto, McLaren will launch their new car on Thursday and Ferrari on Friday.
