Sebastian Vettel clocked the fastest lap in history of Albert Park, 1:23.529, in third qualifying session in 2011. Watch him fly around this temporary street circuit in Red Bull RB7 and takes the pole with 0.778 s in front of Hamilton in his McLaren MP4-26.

Note how Vettel is able to floor the throttle on the corner exit despite driving over the artificial grass, thanks to great downforce produced by exhaust blown difusser on his Red Bull.

Vettel stormed the 2011 F1 qualifying with 15 pole positions in 19 races, breaking Mansell’s record from 1992 in the process.
